Cheat day times 4

Thanksgiving was a planned cheat day, which stretched into 4 days of pure gluttony. I am back on the saddle now. This morning I weighed in, something I had been avoiding the past 4 days, only to find out I am back at the weight in which I started at in the beginning of this diet. That goes to show either how much of a pig I am or how easy it is for me to gain weight. This is my pledge that I am sticking to this diet till my next planned cheat day, Saturday. You can bet it will not turn into 4 continuous days either!

My husband and pizza

Breakfast was easy. Lunch was easy. I did well at dinner, surprisingly.

I was invited to go over to my grandpa's for dinner. My mom was cooking, but I told her that I wasn't going to eat what she was making because of the diet. Lasagna wasn't diet friendly, but it sure looked tasty! Anyway, I stopped at Chipotle on my way to pick up my dinner - burrito bowl: chicken, grilled onions and peppers, salsa, guac, and lettuce. I ate my dinner while everyone ate theirs. No biggie. We all enjoyed ourselves, telling stories and entertaining one another. After dinner we parted ways.

When I arrived home, I walk into the house and the smell of something delicious hit me. My husband greeted me with a kiss, and I walk to the kitchen to put stuff on the counter. I look over to see 2 scrumptious slices of pizza on the oven. Really? Men do not know what it is like being on a diet!

Feast your eyes on this!

My non-cheat day...

Breakfast (eaten within a half hour of waking) - 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of black beans mixed with some salsa, and spinach topped with minced garlic. Americano with Splenda.

Lunch (4 hours later) - 3 oz of chicken breast, 1/4 cup of green peas, 1/4 cup of green beans, and 1/2 cup of pinto beans all mixed with balsamic vinegar.

To hold me over till second lunch - Americano with sugar-free vanilla flavoring.

Second lunch (4 hours later) - Chicken, lentils, onion, green pepper, asparagus soup.

Dinner (you guessed it, 4 hours later) - Pork, broccoli, and cauliflower. 1 large glass of Pinot Noir.

Struggles

I feel the hunger. Night is when it hits me the most. I'm on week 2, so I'm not a professional at this by any means. The first week - down 5 lbs. Second week - still sloughing off cheat day lbs., and I find it hard to not be obsessed with weighing myself daily. That's normal and expected - the weight gain from a cheat day. But I find it hard, as those on a weight loss journey like to see numbers continue to go down. I have stuck to the diet 100%. Therefore, I should be satisfied with the numbers I see on the scale come Saturday morning, the morning of my next cheat day. I already have a big day planned. Cinebarre in the mix for some nighttime snacks. A week of meat, beans, and veggies will soon payoff.
